A Prayer As We Conclude

As we end the school year let us remember God is never far… God be in my head, and in my understanding; God be in my eyes, and in my looking; God be in my mouth; and in my speaking; God be in my heart; and in my thinking; God be at my end, and at my departing.

School’s Out for Summer!

These last weeks of the school year are interesting in that we are, at least administratively, living in two years - wrapping up the current one and looking forward to the next. Next week, we can fully shift our focus to 2019-2020.


Our teaching faculty and staff have worked so very hard on behalf of your students throughout the course of this year and I have been so proud to serve beside them. I am also hopeful get time away as well! They need it!


The front desk at school will be open from 8:00am - 12:00pm over the course of the summer. The administration will be hard at work preparing for the fall and many, many teachers will come in as well to get their classrooms and curriculum ready for next year. There will be physical improvements and cleaning and renovations done throughout the summer thanks to Mr. Fast and his wonderful staff.

We will also be welcoming some new teachers and staff, honing and refining the daily bell schedule, working on the Parent/Student Handbook and many other items over the next few months. We want to be the best school we can be for your students and will continue to work do do that!


Know that you and your students will be in my thoughts and my prayers this summer. I hope these months are full of family, fun and rest for you.

 Looking Ahead to 2019-2020

This will be the last Mullen Weekly for the 2018-19 school year! We will resume again in early August! Look for a back to school mailer this July with important information regarding the next school year! School hours this summer will be Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m - Noon beginning June 3.


New Website Coming Soon!

We are excited to announce the launching of our new and redesigned website this June! Our website was designed to be a user-friendly resource, one-stop-shop for all the information you need to support your child on their educational journey at Mullen High School.

We worked with an award-winning designer from the website company Blackbaud and incorporated feedback we received from parents and staff members.

New features include:

  • A more user-friendly structure designed to help you easily find what you need. The new search section located in the gray bar on the home page includes our most requested topics.
  •  A more modern design that showcases photos of students and that’s easy to use on your computer, tablet and mobile phone.
  • A built-in tool that helps ensure that content on the website is accessible to everyone, including people with visual impairments or mobility issues.
  • More photos and ways to celebrate our greatest asset: our students.
  • More ways for parents to get involved. Visit the support section for volunteer opportunities or to submit an idea for a story in the news section.
  • An online school store with items for you, your family and your current/future Mustang.
  • We invite you to explore the new website and see what you can discover. If you encounter any issues or can't find information you are seeking, let us know! Send an email to We will get right on it. Also, please know that we are still working on the search feature and there may be temporary outages or broken links while ongoing “maintenance” is taking place on the new website during its first few days of use.

2019-2020 School Year - Student Schedules

Schedules for the 2019-20 school year will be available on NetClassroom, these are tentative and subject to change over the summer. Schedule repair requests must be submitted online by Thursday, May 30th, click here. Schedule repairs will be considered if they match the schedule repair criteria. Schedule repairs will be updated on NetClassroom by August 7th. Note: Your schedule was created based on your requests. 
One Book, One School 2019
In keeping with our annual book choice for the entire school to read over the summer, this year's choice is a compelling story about war, healing, and redemption. All students are asked to read A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Baeh and be prepared for a reading test on the first day of school. This true story of a boy captured as a child solder in Sierra Leone is a heartbreakingly accurate narrative of an issue of mass injustice and oppression. Despite his circumstances, Ishmael Baeh perseveres to tell his story. Please see the summer assignment sheet for any additional reading or work for Honors and AP English courses.

We now have two uniform vendors, Land's End and Education Outfitters!  Educational Outfitters is having a summer sale date with information attached or visit their website by following this link.

High School Summer Athletic Camps and OTAs
We feature 10 different summer camp programs throughout the summer season, for kids grades K-12.   We welcome anyone interested, at any level of competition. We hope to assist children and students in the community with discovering healthy lifestyles! Summer Performance Training for all Mullen High School students starts on Monday June 3rd and concludes Thursday July 25th. 
Athletes looking to improve their strength, speed, agility, and conditioning are highly encouraged to participate.  The days and times are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.  All incoming freshmen (2023) and those who cannot make later times will train from 6:30 AM - 8:00 AM, and returning students (2020-2022) will train from 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM.  Cost is $100. All training sessions will be conducted by Coach Stewart and the Sports Performance staff.  Please reach out to Coach Stewart with any questions.  Register Today!

For Sale: Reserved Student Parking Spaces!

Your son or daughter will enjoy arriving at school each morning, with a guaranteed reserved parking spot waiting for them! Great for that student who runs late and hate's door dings! Beginning on the first day of 2020 school year and reserved during school hours just for your student all year long - $1500. All proceeds benefit Mullen students through the Mullen Fund. Contact
Graduation is on Saturday, May 25 at 9 a.m at the Boettcher Concert Hall in downtown Denver. 
Students must check in by 8:15.  The house will open at 8:15.  Be sure to allow time for traffic and parking.  The ceremony will end around 11 a.m.  The event is by ticket only.  Please email Rita Niblack ( with any questions.

Any graduating Seniors and their families who will be attending Jesuit colleges in the Fall are invited to the first Mass/Jesuit university student send-off at St. Ignatius Loyola church.
August 3 at 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm. St. Ignatius Loyola is located at 2309 Gaylord St., Denver, CO 80205.
This event is being hosted by the Denver Jesuit Alumni Network- a group made up of Denver alumni of the 27 Jesuit College and Universities. (DJAN).

An update on the 2020 Peru Service Trip
We've been thrilled by the interest shown in this program and look forward to a wonderful adventure! We have decided to cap the program at 24 students so in order to secure your spot, please visit our trip website - - and enroll today. Extra Mullen T-Shirts?
We are collecting Mullen T-Shirts that you or your family may no longer be wearing.  We have a volunteer who is collecting shirts to create a quilt out of the shirts.  If you have any you would like to donate, please drop them off at the front desk attention Marie Adamson.

PACT Results

The Sophomore PACT results are here! Please have your student see their Academic/Personal Counselor for their results.  To understand the PSAT results, click here.



All junior college forms not yet turned in are extremely overdue! This includes Teacher Rec Applications, College Rec Contracts, and Transcript Release Forms. Missing forms must be mailed to Mullen (attn: College Counseling) or dropped off at the front desk during summer hours. Do not email them to Mrs. Rosengarten. Continued failure to turn in overdue forms will result in an inability to have letters of recommendation and transcripts submitted as part of your college applications next fall.

Seniors: Congrats - we will miss you!!!

Final Transcripts with proof of graduation will be submitted by June 7th to the college you indicated that you are attending on your End of the Year College Info Form. If you receive an email from a college and/or the NCAA/NAIA Eligibility Centers reminding you to have this sent, delete it! We will automatically take care of it!

Facilities Crew & Police Officer Luncheon
Thanks to all who donated and volunteered to help show our gratitude to our amazing Facilities crew and to the Officers that keep our campus safe!! Special thanks to Stoddard Finnie & Mary Meade for organizing a fantastic luncheon!

Senior Breakfast
Well we had a wonderful breakfast for our Seniors after graduation rehearsal, thank you Lisa Perez & Shelia Atwell for putting this together and all who volunteered and donated items!!! 

Mustang Outfitters Store
Exciting things are happening at the store, start shopping for your favorite Mullen spirit gear on line July 1st go to the Mullen website. Next year we will have school uniform shirts in the store for you to purchase. Also lots of great affordable hoodies & sweatshirts for your students to wear so they'll be dress code compliant! The store will be open August 10th from 10am -12pm and August 12th from 4pm-6pm. Regular hours next year starting August 15th Tuesday & Thursdays from 2:30pm-3:30pm, and open during football games and other sporting events.

Pre-Owned Uniforms
Next sale August 10th from 10am-12pm in the Hutchison Field House, come purchase gently owned uniforms before school starts!!
Please donate your students gently used uniforms and Mullen gear to help with our next sale, just drop your items off in the lobby with the front desk. If you have any questions please contact Dolly Failor .

Next MPA Meeting
August 20th 8am-9:30am or 6pm-7pm in the Student Activities Center. If you have a student at Mullen your part of the MPA, all are welcome we sponsor several great events and need your help to make them successful by volunteering or donating items.
